2025 Wrapped: The Year in Numbers

In the world of recruitment, the general consensus is that 2025 has been a challenging year. Rising employment costs, falling job vacancies, economic caution from clients, and tighter margins (to name but a few), have culminated in recruiters needing to work significantly harder for results. When the market is tough, your working environment can either make or break your success. Culture, ethos, community, and growth are absolutely crucial.

Fortunately, at Levick Stanley, these things are present in abundance! This is an easy claim to make but counts for very little without real-life evidence to support it. So, as the year draws to a close, we thought we would present the facts in a Wrapped-style recap of the year in numbers. There were definitely no good-natured arguments about who had the best ‘Top Artist’ in the office. We’re also sure you’re not sick of seeing these (from your chosen music streaming service, or language learning app, or your bank…) by now, so without further ado:

10 teammates, 0 days wanting to work anywhere else

Though growth is on the horizon for 2026 (watch this space), our small, agile size is a strength. We hire for cultural fit as much as recruitment chops, which means every new person genuinely belongs. This intentional approach has created a genuinely welcoming environment, from our Monday morning ‘Guess the Gif’ game recapping everyone’s weekend to the easy post-work pint.

2137 minutes* spent enjoying socials and team building

Our team socials don’t stop there. We’ve had a team holiday to Palma, a summer evening of pétanque, the Traitors live experience (congratulations once again to winners Joshua Finestone and Natalie Gailans, we still haven’t forgiven you…), a morning of Padel, and plenty of impromptu evenings out. We genuinely enjoy each other’s company, and that cohesion is key to our success. So, when it came to growing the team this year, finding people who’d fit seamlessly into this dynamic was essential. (*approximate figure)

Four new starters welcomed, 100% still here

We welcomed four new team members in 2025. Matthew Clark brought deep change and transformation consulting experience and wanted to experience recruitment from the other side, Marcus Pengelly joined as an Associate Delivery Consultant in his first recruitment role, Natalie became our Operations and Community Manager, looking after back office, HR, and launching events like Women in Change, which was a resounding success, and I (Kathryn) came on board to establish our Data & Analytics practice. This marked a pivotal shift: our first expansion beyond Change and Transformation recruitment.

One new practice, six months of momentum

June 2025 marked our expansion into Data & Analytics, new territory for Levick Stanley. Six months later, we’ve placed a Head of Data Engineering, shown up at Big Data LDN, and done the homework (shoutout to Big Data for Dummies). What started as a learning curve has turned into something I’m genuinely proud of: knowing the sector well enough to truly match client needs with the right people. That ‘matchmaker’ moment when everything clicks is what makes it worthwhile. The first six months have laid the groundwork, and the best is still to come. Not that I’m biased or anything.

Here’s to a successful 2026! Whether you’re curious about exploring a new role, helping your business grow or anything in between, feel free to get in touch with the team.
