Role: Security Engineer

Locations: Manchester or London (1–2 office days/week)

Type: Permanent

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Engineer to play a key role in a large-scale digital transformation, helping to shape and secure a modern cloud-first infrastructure. Working within a forward-thinking technology team, you’ll support the delivery of enterprise-grade security across hybrid environments and ensure best practices are embedded into day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to security threats across cloud and on-prem systems
• Manage patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation
• Support identity and access controls (Azure AD, MFA)
• Automate security tasks using PowerShell and Azure Policy
• Advise on compliance (ISO 27001, CIS) and lead assessments

Requirements:

• Solid experience with Azure security tools (Defender for Cloud, Key Vault)
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and IAM practices
• Hands-on with endpoint protection, firewalls, and SIEM
• Comfortable working in hybrid environments
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security automation
• Certification in Azure AZ-500 – Advantageous
