Location: Liverpool (3 days per week in office, with flexibility)
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive PMO Support Officer to join a busy Programme Management Office within a leading professional services organisation. This role will provide essential support across a range of high-profile business transformation initiatives, including a major merger programme, IT separation from the European business, and a significant rebrand project.
Working closely with Project and Programme Managers, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered effectively through strong governance, coordination and reporting support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day PMO and programme support across multiple business-critical projects
- Work closely with Project Managers to maintain project plans, schedules and milestones
- Support prioritisation across a busy portfolio of integration-related projects
- Coordinate project meetings, workshops and stakeholder updates
- Manage project documentation using tools such as PPM/PPN systems and Microsoft 365
- Track project objectives, budgets, resources and dependencies
- Produce regular governance packs and project reporting for senior stakeholders
- Support resource planning and resource management activities
- Ensure project lifecycle documentation is completed to a high standard
- Assist with project closure activities including: Lessons learned, Handovers, Benefits tracking Close-out reporting, Business case documentation
About You
We are looking for someone with strong PMO or project support experience who understands the full project lifecycle and can provide high-quality operational support.
Essential skills and experience
- Previous experience in a PMO Support / PMO Administrator / Programme Support role
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and project lifecycle management
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Experience using Microsoft 365 tools
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on project completion and close-out
- Ability to work in a tactical, hands-on support role rather than a strategic PMO position
Desirable
- Experience working within a professional services environment
- Exposure to transformation, merger or integration programmes
