Business Analyst (Processes & Systems) – PMO

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Processes & Systems) to join a growing Project Management Office (PMO) supporting a large-scale business transformation programme within the financial services sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Business Analyst who enjoys working across business and technology teams to analyse, improve and redesign processes and systems. You’ll play a key role in shaping solutions that deliver meaningful business change while ensuring stakeholder needs are fully understood and translated into practical outcomes.

You’ll work closely with project managers, business leaders and subject matter experts to define requirements, challenge existing ways of working, and help deliver both strategic improvements and quick-win initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document business requirements for a range of transformation projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand operational challenges and define effective solutions.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and process designs aligned with organisational standards and best practices.
• Conduct gap analysis and map current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) business processes.
• Produce high-quality process maps, business documentation and solution designs.
• Support the development of business cases for new initiatives and change programmes.
• Assess the impact of process and system changes across multiple workstreams and ongoing projects.
• Provide comprehensive handovers to project delivery teams to enable successful implementation.
• Build strong relationships across business functions, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the change lifecycle.
• Challenge existing processes constructively to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for delivering business change.

You will have:

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience working as a Business Analyst.
• Experience working across both business and technology functions.
• Strong knowledge of business process analysis, process mapping and requirements gathering.
• Experience working with a variety of project delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and/or Lean.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• An understanding of cloud-based technologies, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within financial services or capital markets.
• Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira or Microsoft Project.
• Exposure to trading platforms or financial technology environments.
• Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience.
