A Technical Project Manager is required for a large not-for-profit housing association.

 

Up to £60,000 + excellent benefits package

London / hybrid working 1-2 times per week in the office

 

This is an exciting time to join the IT team as the business continues to increase the utilisation of Azure Cloud Services. They have recently introduced SD-WAN technology and upgraded the telephony systems and are now looking to rationalise their Data Centre’s alongside a host of demanding but exciting projects.  

 

The Technical Project Manager will be accountable for planning and implementing projects within the Cloud & Infrastructure team taking responsible for organizing and controlling specific project elements such as budget, procurement plans and tender from initiation through to delivery. 

The Technical Project Manager will:

Provide oversight to and planning of projects to support maintenance and change activities
Ensure project governance processes are adhered to, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure there is cross-functional representation; cross-functional partnership to remove impediments; accurately reports on comprehensive project status weekly
Provide project leadership and accurately reports on project progress relative to schedule, scope, budget, and quality
Create Procurement Plans, tender documents and perform other procurement related tasks.
 
Skills and Experience:

Strong project and stakeholder management experience with the ability to be able to hit the ground running  
Strong infrastructure background     
Proven history of managing projects in a hybrid/agile framework
Strong experience working on medium to large technology projects preferably with knowledge of security concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of users and with management
Ability to comprehend technical subjects including systems architecture, as well as document/translate the basic meaning behind these subjects
Strong influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Procurement Plan experience preferred but not essential
Project Management certification preferred
Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio are preferred
