Head of Programmes

A leading retail company is recruiting for a permanent Head of Programmes, based in London.

They are currently undergoing a large scale change and enterprise refresh across their programme office in business and IT.

The Head of Programmes will be responsible for both the strategy and delivery, focussing on people, process, governance, structure, transition and more.

Additional responsibilities:
-Lead internal reviews ensuring strategy and objectives are clearly defined
-Lead collaborative initiatives within the programme office and across the business
-Mentor project management teams including: training, improvement actions, performance reviews and development

The Ideal candidate will be able to:
-Demonstrate a track record of effectively applying varying project management, tools, technologies and techniques with expertise in methodologies and approaches, e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, MSP, agile 
– Rapidly prioritise issues to take effective decisions
-Use appropriate risk management techniques – risk identification, analysis, estimation and mitigation
-Financially control of projects and programmes
-Demonstrate previous experience of successfully challenging / influencing the business strategy, business case and business requirements to successful deliver business change

A background in retail, fashion, B2C organisations would be preferred.
