Director of Software Engineering
Director of Software Engineering – Malmo, Sweden
A global, industry-leading company based in Malmo, Sweden is recruiting for a new Director of Software Engineering.
As a key member of the Group IT Team and working closely with the Group CIO, the Director of Software Engineering will lead a 200 + person business unit in the development of core platforms and products.
The salary is dependent on experience and comes with an excellent LTIP, pension and bonus package.
The client will pay for full relocation.
Key Accountabilities:
· Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for mobile applications and IoT backend (multi-million customer base/devices)
· Ensure cloud enabling platforms are leveraged and integrated across the group IT portfolio
· Drive agile delivery across the teams and wider business
· Deliver a 100% automated cloud platform with 24/7 availability
· Create and build relationships with key stakeholders internally (product, platform, tech etc) and externally with technology partners
Key Experience required:
· 15 + years in software engineering
· Leading large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams on an international scale
· Deep knowledge in leading in-house technology teams, particularly in a cloud environment
· Strong agile knowledge and how to deliver on a quick release cycle
· Creating and executing key strategies to meet business outcomes
· The ability to lead and influence C-level stakeholders
Desirable Experience:
· IoT experience
· Smart Homes/Connected Homes experience
· Previous experience working in Sweden
