Data Scientist – Leading Wine Investment Company – Central London

A London based global leader in wine investment and asset management, are looking to hire a Data Scientist to help contribute to the future expansion of their portfolio.

This is a permanent full time role, based in Central London with a salary up to circa £60,000 + Bonus.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about creating and developing a brand new concept and approach to wine investing and build a new tool from scratch.

In this Exciting role, the Data Scientist will be responsible for the wine data engine and the creation of the wine pricing model. Reporting into the Investment Director and Head of Marketing, you will join the investment and research department and spearhead the development of statistical and probability tools.

Responsibilities:
• Create data flows from raw data to conclusion
• Explore new AI and ML techniques and algorithms
• Build engaging visualisations/reports
• Provide data science expertise

Role overview:
• Data Set Mining /Data Scraping/ API Data compilation
• Data analysis /AI/ ML- Python/ R)
• Data visualisation
• R&D Project experience
• Data warehousing/ Big Data
• Setup, building and maintenance of web facing data API’s
• Building Risk/ Predictive /Trend reports from raw data
• SQL queries and coding – development of internal data tools
